SOMA Studio is an interdisciplinary design studio created in 1999 by principals Andrew Fee and Linda Corbett. Built upon decades of residential design_build experience, their current focus is the development of Rural Modern homes.
LONGHOUSE was the first in the series of 4-season country houses designed and built by SOMA that define the spirit of rural modern living.
RIVERHOUSE, now under construction, is the second residence in the series. Situated on 11 acres of private land with 526 feet of frontage on the Napanee River, RIVERHOUSE is also inspired by Canadian historic and vernacular architecture.
The sleek, contemporary design silouettes and interiors of these rural modern homes merge twenty-first century aesthetics and technology with elements of traditional building technique. Inside, the interiors and finishes for which SOMA is well known, celebrate the finest craftsmanship and the International Style of open living spaces and grand views.
Each home is sited on private acreage along the Napanee River eight minutes from the 401 and the historic town of Napanee in unspoiled L&A County. The location is perfectly situated 28 minutes from Kingston on Lake Ontario and Picton in Prince Edward County and just over 2 hours from either Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa.
LONGHOUSE by SOMA Studio embodies the finest qualities of country living within a rural modern aesthetic.
